Job summary

  • This is an exciting opportunity to work with our expanding Special Care Dental Service. This is a newly created dual function post providing both Analyst and Trainer support to the service, who work with children and young people. Therefore, you will have the opportunity to really help to create your role effectively. You will report to the Head of Clinical Systems but also be an integral part of the Dental Care Service.
  • The Trust use TPP SystmOne and the Dental Care Service use Carestream R4+. You will provide configuration support, provide training and ongoing support to staff from the Dental team to use both systems effectively.

Main duties of the job

Your opportunity:

  • In your new role, you will be joining two teams. Both teams will offer you full support and the opportunity to really make the job your own. As you work as part of the wider Dental and Clinical Systems teams you will form alliances with clinicians, administrators, trainers, helpdesk, and analysts all of whom will work with you to deliver a high-class service to the wider organisation.
  • This role will also introduce you to the wider Trust as you be working with our colleagues in the Reporting and Transformation teams.

Analyst Element:

  • The role of the Clinical Systems Analyst is to provide and apply specialist knowledge in the configuration of clinical systems, to include SystmOne and R4+. Be responsible for the ongoing management and development of R4+ and SystmOne for The Dental Care service. You will liaise with colleagues to ensure that all aspects of change are supported.
  • As a Clinical Systems Analyst you will be expected to develop a high level of SystmOne and R4+ expertise
  • Using your highly developed analytical skills to identify any conflicting impacts and gaps in processes and system functionality.
  • The role will include an element of data gathering and reporting. This may include sensitive and confidential information.

Trainer Element:

  • Evidence of continuing personal development
  • Understanding Data Quality and its implications
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written, including presentation skills
  • The ability to travel across the Trust sites to regularly attend meetings

Desirable

  • TPP Accreditation in SystmOne modules
  • Authoring user guides and creating e-learning packages would be advantageous
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels
  • Experience in using and programming Carestream R4+
  • Experience of delivering training sessions in person and face-to-face
