Job summary
We have a new opportunity for a Professional Nurse Advocate (PNA) to work alongside our community adult teams and support them in providing compassionate care. As our lead community PNA you will provide bespoke, intensive support to all our staff but in particular our band 5 nurses and nurses new to working in the community.
The role requires you to have completed your PNA qualification and have experience of using restorative supervision to support staff with any professional issues, including clinical incidents, team dynamics, stress, burnout, quality initiatives, as well as personal issues impacting on their wellbeing. This role requires someone who is autonomous in the management of their workload and flexible in meeting with staff in a place suitable for them.
To support you in your role, you will access our Trust PNA forum which also includes assistance from our clinical psychologist. You will receive regular supervisory sessions from your line manager and coaching is also available.
This is currently a fixed term role for 12 months. Secondments will be considered in discussion with your current manager

Main duties of the job
This role will include:
- Being part of a diverse multi-professional community team which includes working with staff in both home and residential settings to understand the challenges they are faced with
- Supporting staff who may come to you with professional and personal concerns impacting on their wellbeing
- Working collaboratively with external stakeholders who are also providing PNA support in primary and acute care settings
- Engaging with our integrated care provider to continue to develop the role and give feedback on progress
- Needs to be able to formulate reports and apply evaluation methods in order to demonstrate the value of the role
