Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will:
Work as an administrator and be the main point of contact to co-ordinate and book the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessment appointments across all 3 centres
* Work as part of a team providing high quality administration support across all the services and centres within the Children and Young People's Specialist Service clinical teams* Secretarial and audio typing experience - role will involve Audio typing of letters and reports* Have excellent organisational, IT and communication skills with an eye for detail* enjoy the challenge of working in a busy environment with a positive team approach* booking of complex appointments using SystmOne - experience of SystmOne and excel an advantage* have a full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

The post holder will be the administrator within the team to co-ordinate and book the ASD assessment appointments across all 3 centres.

Essential
- Educated to GCSE Level (or equivalent) in English Language.
- NVQ 3 in Business/Administration or equivalent knowledge & experience.
- ECDL or equivalent qualification.
Experience & Knowledge
Essential
- Previous experience of working as a Secretary and/or Administrator in a busy office/secretarial environment.
- Knowledge and experience of using/implementing secretarial and administration procedures and processes.
- Good written and oral communication skills to converse and correspond with a range of service users and partners regarding complex and sensitive issues via face to face interactions, telephonically or documentation.
- Able to work both independently and in a team.
- To be accurate, flexible and work under pressure.
- Ability to communicate when barriers to understanding exist.

- Advanced IT skills and knowledge of computer office software, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, etc
- Able to learn specific internal IT programmes e.g. SystmOne and be able to competently use on a daily basis.

- Car driver with ability to travel routinely across HCTs areas to other Trust sites or external locations when required. Hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010)
