Job summary

Are you highly motivated, have fantastic communication skills and willing to take on a challenge?

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Danesbury Neurological Administration Team, who have a vacancy for an Administration Assistant.

Main duties of the job

The role will involve supporting the ward leads and giving assistance and support to patients, carers and staff where appropriate. You will need to have excellent communication and IT skills and work in an organised manner so as to ensure all the administrative tasks are completed.

The role with include scanning documents, minute taking, booking appointments for patients, attending MDT meetings, room bookings for team leads and any other duties that the team leads will require.

- Work unsupervised on assigned administrative tasks.

- Confidentiality must be maintained at all times.

  • Educated to 'GCSE' standard or equivalent

Desirable

  • First aid trained
  • Fire warden trained

Experience and Knowledge

Essential

  • Significant experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Intermediate IT skills, proficient in the use of computer software, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc
  • Experience in a customer facing role including over the phone

Desirable

  • Experience of clinical records system such as SystmOne
  • Experience of using office equipment such as multi- functional devices (MFD) etc.
  • Experience of working in an NHS setting
