Job summary
An Exciting opportunity has arisen for two full time nurses to join our team at Danesbury Neurological Rehab Hospital. We are an 18 bedded neuro rehabilitation unit who provide care for patients. We pride ourselves in being adaptable to change in order to meet patients needs. If you are motivated, compassionate and have excellent communication skills, we would like to hear from you.
Applications are welcome from the UK final year nursing students to join our friendly team in a small rehabilitation inpatient unit.
We also welcome applications from Return to Practice nurses who are looking for role to enhance their student placements - we pay top of band 4 whilst you are PIN pending.
Main duties of the job
You will be joining a team of nurses who work as part of the multidisciplinary team that includes, Doctors, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Rehabilitation Assistants and Social Workers. We offer a supportive and friendly working environment and there are opportunities to develop your clinical leadership skills whilst under the guidance of a well-established team and with the support of the Training and Development Department.
You will be required to work 11.5 hour shifts on a rotating shift pattern of days and nights.
Please be aware that if you are applying from overseas, we expect overseas candidates to have full registration with the NMC (including and OSCE pass), if you do not have full NMC registration, unfortunately your application will not be successful. Whilst we can sponsor fully registered candidates who live outside of the UK, we are unable to pay relocation costs.
In addition to the basic salary, this post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary (pro rata where applicable)

- RGN/RN/Diploma /Degree in nursing
- NMC approved mentorship course or relevant post graduate course (Desirable)
Experience and Knowledge

- Post registration experience, with experience in a related setting
- Supervision of nursing assistants and students
- Knowledge of current issues in the profession and nursing practice
Desirable
- Intermediate care/elderly care/rehabilitation experience
- Experience of teaching in a ward setting
- Awareness of relevant NICE Guidance and Quality Standards relating to Stroke and Neurological Rehabilitation
