37.5 hours over 5 days a week (working hours and days can be flexible in the hours of 9-5 Monday to Friday)
Based at the Bromsgrove Neighbourhood Community Mental Health team,a growing and dynamic team with a range of multi-disciplinary professionals with a wide range of knowledge and skills to welcome the new applicant for this role into the well established and friendly team to ensure you feel welcome and empowered to take on a great opportunity.
Do you want to be able to demonstrate and develop your autonomous skills as well as some leadership skills around leading on the depot, clozapine and physical health checks for the team, helping support other staff that support in this role, being able to have the oversight of the clinics that are being ran as well as completing them yourself.

Main duties of the job
- Be the lead on Clozapine, Depot and physical health clinics.
- Administer depot injections to all of the patients open to the team this will include administering in our on-site clinic room or some may need outreach where you administer in the community in patients homes for those that may not be able to come to a trust base for their medication.
- Clozapine clinic will entail the post holder to undertake 4 weekly blood monitoring for those patients, continual monitoring and ordering of the regular clozapine medication for patients, there may be some patients that have been on an inpatient ward and started on Clozapine or re titrated so may need weekly blood monitoring in line with our clozapine blood monitoring policy for up to 14 weeks to then reduce to fortnightly and eventually 4 weekly if all blood results are in range and safe to reduce to 4 weekly.
- Conduct regular weekly physical health clinics for patients under the service that require physical health checks which includes bloods, ECGs, height weight and BMI checks to ensure we are checking patients especially on anti-psychotic medications, Depots and clozapine are having yearly checks for physical health.
- Reporting the physical health checks back to the GP and if any have any concerns with physical health IE Blood pressure concerns, raise accordingly within the team but also the GP to continue to monitor if any blood pressure concerns needing further investigation/treatment through the GP in primary care
