Job summary
We are excited to offer this Senior Psychologist post in
Herefordshire in our Psychological Therapies Team. The post holder will work
with our consultant psychologist in the Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams to
lead the delivery of our integrated and inclusive psychological therapies
pathway.
Locally, psychological services are highly respected and well
integrated into the leadership team. We have been at the forefront of Community
Transformation and have led on the development of Trauma Informed Care,
delivery of the PT-SMHP agenda, and promoting Compassionate Leadership across
the Trust. As such there are significant opportunities to influence systemic
change, and for personal and career development.

The post is for 30 hours (0.8 WTE) and there is opportunity for
blended working (on site and from home).

Main duties of the job
The post is integral to the Neighbourhood Community Mental Health Service. You will provide clinical leadership to the
Psychological Therapies Team (PTT), support qualified psychologists,
psychological therapists, art therapists and Clinical Associate Psychologists
(CAPS). You will offer clinical
supervision and work load management to members of the PTT and take a lead on
managing the governance processes in place to support the clinical work.
Clinically the post holder will input into the North and West
Neighbourhood Mental Health Team, based in Leominster. We emphasise the value of psychological
assessment, formulation and consultation early within a service-users journey.
The post holder will have experience of providing specialist individual
interventions and contribute to our extensive group programme. You will help to
create and sustain more co-produced psychologically and trauma informed
environments, across the system of care. You will take a lead on developing
service initiatives in line with key national and local priorities and with
local partners.

- BSc/BA Honours degree at 2:1 or above in Psychology
- Post-graduate Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS)
- Post qualification training/ experience in specific, evidence based techniques for use with clients with complex psychological presentations and/ or physical health difficulties, across the age span
- Evidence of regular further professional training and experience as required by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the BPS
- Eligible for registration as a Chartered Psychologist (Clinical or Counselling) by the BPS
- Eligible for registration as a Practitioner member of the BPS Division of Clinical/Counselling Psychology
- Registered with HCPC as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist
