Job summary
Worcestershire CAMHS is seeking an experienced mental
health professional to offer clinical leadership to both CAMHS SPA and CAMHS
CAST. You will be a qualified professional holding current registration in a discipline
such as nursing, occupational therapy, social work. We are particularly keen to
hear from OT colleagues as we would value more of this discipline within the
MDT. You will understand the role and remit of a specialist CAMH service, having
an awareness of how moderate to severe mental health difficulties affect
children and young people. Within this busy role you will support the
clinicians working at the referral point for the service (SPA) and also your
colleagues within the professional consultation service (CAST). You will also
carry a small caseload within CAST, role modelling your skills, experience and
communication skills. You will work over the county with a main base in
Worcester.

Main duties of the job
As a Clinical Lead within CAMHS you will work closely with the
team leads and operational manager to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of
the specialist mental health service commissioned for the children and young
people of Herefordshire and Worcestershire
Daily duties will include triage of referrals into the
service, contacting referrers and families, offering consultation, training and
support to other services and managing your own caseload. Within this new role
you will provide clinical leadership within the multi-disciplinary team focussing on SPA and CAST in the main. You
will provide clinical supervision for an agreed number of staff but in addition
you will be expected to support the other MDTs within the CAMH service. Other
duties such as responding to complaints and incidents will be required.
