Job summary

We have a 1.0 WTE Assistant Psychology post at Band 4 for 6 months to support the work of the Neuropsychology Service within Worcestershires Integrated Neurology Team. This is a specialist community service for people who have experienced an acquired brain injury or are living with a progressive neurological condition. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a strong interest in the psychological well-being of adults following a diagnosis of a neurological condition (e.g. stroke, head injury, Parkinsons disease, MND), with the successful candidate ideally demonstrating experience of working in these areas. The Integrated Neurology Team is a friendly team made up of a range of professionals, including specialist nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, rehabilitation assistants, psychologists and SALT. Main duties of the job

  • Assisting the collection of psychological outcome data and presenting findings to the wider service
  • Assisting in preparing materials for therapeutic group interventions, contributing to the facilitation of these groups and supporting the evaluation using clinical outcomes measures following the intervention
  • Supporting neuropsychological assessments of adults under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist
  • Communicating the results of assessments to members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Supporting the development of service user involvement and enhancing patient experience
  • Carrying out audit and research
