Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a
Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Depot and Clozapine Clinic within
Hereford City. You will be part of a
smaller clinic team while working within the Hereford City Neighbourhood Team.
The role will include assisting with the
running of the depot/clozapine clinic and the administration and supervision of
long acting injections. In the Clozapine Clinic you will be responsible for venepuncture
and physical health monitoring and dispensing of medication. You will also be responsible in ensuring that
the physical health needs of those diagnosed with a mental health diagnosis are
met.
The team works within a multi-disciplinary
service and the role will be varied and will offer opportunities to work with
service users suffering from a range of serious mental illnesses and dual
diagnoses.

Main duties of the job
- To provide a comprehensive, accessible and
responsive mental health services to adults within the local area.
- To deliver physical health interventions to
patients under the service inclusive of phlebotomy.
- To assist in the management of a
depot/clozapine clinic.
- To administer long acting injections and
facilitate clozapine monitoring.
- To continually develop clinical, team and
service evaluation and delivery of the service.
- To contribute to effective
multi-disciplinary working within the CMHT and build effective liaison with
community, primary and other secondary and tertiary services and agencies
within the area.
- To meet the changing demands of the service as required.
