An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 2 Healthcare Support Worker on Lickey Ward at the Princess of Wales Community Hospital, part of Herefordshire & Worcestershire Health & Care NHS Trust

This role requires you to have current right to work in the UK which enables you to undertake the role without need of sponsorship. Given the current UK immigration regulations this role is not eligible for sponsorship and therefore it is not possible for the Trust to sponsor applicants.

Main duties of the job

Work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team promoting the continuity of patient rehabilitation and care as planned.

To be pro-active in assisting the organisation with nursing and therapy activities.

To contribute to the development and evaluation of nursing care.

Good opportunities exist for further training and development within the role. You will be joining an enthusiastic, supportive, and friendly Multi-Disciplinary Team. You will receive support and development through in-service training, regular appraisals, a personal development plan and clinical supervision.

Essential

  • Level 2 qualification (e.g. GCSE Grade A-C, NVQ2) in Care or A good standard of general education to GCSE level and will be expected to undertake the relevant Level 2 qualification on appointment to post
  • Will be expected to meet the Care Certificate standards within 12 weeks of commencing employment with the Trust
  • I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer

Experience

Essential

  • Working with adults in a care setting

Desirable

  • Nursing experience within the NHS / Hospital Setting
  • Experience of working in general medicine or rehabilitation
  • Previous face-to-face customer care experience
