Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work as a full time Medical Secretary within our Early Intervention/Assertive Outreach team in 27a St Owen Street, Hereford. The Team provides high quality specialist services to adults with mental health difficulties.
You will be working as part of a small administrative team alongside a full time and part time team secretary. The clinical teams consist of 2 Team Managers, 2 Consultant Psychiatrists plus Speciality and junior Doctors, a team of nurses, occupational therapists and clinical psychologists.

Main duties of the job
As part of our team your main duty will be provide an efficient secretarial and administrative service to the Consultants and other team members. The main tasks include diary/appointment management, minuting of meetings, dealing with both face-to-face and telephone enquiries from patients, recording information on patients medical records and undertaking shorthand/audio/copy typing of reports, letters and other confidential documentation. The Medical Secretary is responsible for following up reports and using their initiative to update the Consultants with relevant information. In addition there will be general office duties which may include emailing, photocopying, scanning, dealing with incoming/outgoing post and filing
