Job summary
We are
looking for motivated, positive and committed individuals to join our 24hr
Crisis Team which provides support to people who present in Mental Health
crisis within Worcestershire. We pride
ourselves in providing outstanding care to patients across Herefordshire and
Worcestershire.
The team
are a well-established, supportive and dynamic team with excellent clinical and
risk assessment skills which will allow further professional development whilst
augmenting expertise already possessed. Supervision is regularly offered to
ensure staff wellbeing, training opportunities will also be offered.
There are
37.5 hours available but we would be willing to offer less hours for the
successful candidate. The successful applicant will be required to undertake
flexible working over a 7 day period (inclusive of waking nights), our shift
pattern is 3 long days/nights per week, day shifts run from 08.00am til
21.00pm, and night shifts run from 19.30am til 08.30am.

Main duties of the job
Working for a crisis team means no two days
are the same. The service we provide is critical to those in a mental health
crisis and helps enable specialist support from the onset.
The crisis team take referrals from different
sources including police, paramedics and self referrals. We are an urgent care
service and aim to respond at the soonest opportunity to ensure seamless care
and better outcomes for patients.
As a mental health practitioner you will be
responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of
care. This includes assessing those with high risk of self harm and suicide and
have serious mental health problems. We have a robust risk assessment tool
which enables effective risk assessments to take place. Having a high level of
competence, knowledge and skills is crucial to this role.
As part of your role you will be expected to
offer support and guidance to the junior staff around you. Supervision will be
offered regularly, alongside regular team meetings, and opportunities to engage
with clinical supervision. This ensures that staff feel valued, supported and
have access to the correct support.

the quality of work you provide to patients. Supporting other staff on shift is
essential in providing high quality care to the patients that require our
service.
