Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Malvern, Evesham and Pershore Older Adult Community Mental Health Team based at Rowan House in Malvern as a Band 2 Administrative Assistant. The team also operate out of Waterside, Evesham Community Hospital and on rare occasions there may be the need to provide cover at this base.
The post is a permanent position. The core working hours for the team are Monday to Friday 9-5 and the post is 30 hours per week. As a service we understand the importance of work life balance and strive to find individual ways to ensure that our team members can achieve this, whilst ensuring we continue to deliver the best service to our patients.
There are opportunities to develop specialist skills and you will receive regular supervision.
The team is busy, but supportive with a focus on staff well-being and development.
Please note the Trust is unable to provide sponsorship to work for this role, to apply you must have current right to work in the UK status. If you are employed on an acceptable time limited visa, there is no guarantee of sponsorship at point of expiry.
Main duties of the job
The post will involve providing a comprehensive administrative service within the team. The role will be varied providing the successful applicant with an opportunity to gain valuable experience within Older Adult Mental Health Services. The admin team consists of a Senior Medical Secretary, Medical Secretary, Team Secretary and Administrative Assistant who support a multidisciplinary team.
You will need to have a flexible attitude, have good time management and organisational skills. You will need good IT skills. The team is busy, but supportive with a focus on staff well-being and development.
A typical day will include answering / dealing with both face to face and telephone enquires in a tactful and professional manner, recording any message efficiently and passing them to the relevant individual in an appropriate and timely manner. Provide administrative support as required, e.g. typing, data inputting, filing, scanning. Deal with incoming and outgoing post. Undertake reception duties as and when required.
Handle transport requests / arrangements, as then appropriate.
