Malvern Community Hospital is part of Herefordshire & Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust and holds the traditional values of a community hospital with high standards of holistic care, time to talk to your patients, build relationships and be part of their recovery from admission to discharge. Care for patients with a multitude of conditions, to rehabilitation, to end of life care. In addition to this we also look after patients with sub-acute needs and provide support through our training and development team for all staff to have the skills required to care for such complex patients. All RNs are supported to achieve the Trusts core competencies with training provided for RNs to cannulate, perform venepuncture, be IV competent.

This is a part time role working 34.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

As a Staff Nurse you will be responsible for providing care to people admitted to our ward for rehabilitation. We work closely as a multi-disciplinary team. Our focusispromoting the comfort and wellbeing of patients, enablingthemto live as independently as possible. Malvern is a small but friendly team to work with. As a team we encourage ongoing learning and development through reflection and clinical supervision which we try and embed in our daily practice. Our nurses are required to facilitate the day to day running of the ward, administering medications, working alongside all members of the MDT as well as patients, their families and carers to provided 24/7 rehabilitation to enable the highest level of independence and quality of life. Our nurses are required to attend meetings as needed such as MDT and CHC or Discharge Planning.
