Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, motivational leader to support the Divisional Director in leading core elements of a new Mental Health Services Division. As a Head of Care Group, youll have the skills, experience, determination and imagination to drive effective service delivery, optimising patient and staff experience, outcomes and efficiency. Crucially, youll be able to synthesise complex information clearly and concisely in writing or in person.
The role will challenge you as you build a team and manage change from day one. But youll have the practical and moral support of the Divisional Director and the wider Divisional team to deliver your agreed strategic objectives, and as we work together to embed a healthy culture that accords with Trust values, and nurture and develop talent.
The role is 37.5 hours per week. We are open to discussing flexible working and basing arrangements, but the expectation is of high visibility and mobility across both counties.

Main duties of the job
Support the Divisional Director to deliver CIPs by redesigning and reviewing services, realising efficiencies by fostering and encouraging a creative innovative approach to service delivery.
Be accountable for the management and delivery of services on a day-to-day operational basis across the Care Group.
Directly supervise a range of Team/Service Leads working within the Care Group.
Ensure Team/Service Managers are accountable for the performance and quality of service delivery within their teams.
Walk the floor maintaining a high profile amongst teams/services. Use all means of communication meetings, video, etc, to ensure staff are well briefed on developments within the Care Group and across the wider Trust.
Ensure the identification of risk within the service, facilitating and appropriate action to reduce risk in line with Trust policy.
Ensure that services within the Care Group meet the standards set by the CQC for the framework for inspecting mental health services.
