Job summary

We would like to appoint a Specialist Clinical/Counselling Psychologist committed to work in the Early Intervention in Psychosis Service (EIP) in the South team in Worcestershire. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic psychologist with a special interest in working with people who are presenting with their first episode of Psychosis. This is an 8a position and the applicant will demonstrate the ability to meet the criteria set out in the job description.

The post holder will deliver Clinical or Counselling Psychology core values and clinical practice, will work with a diverse service user group with a range of complex mental health needs. We aspire to encourage a sense of empowerment in our service users through working with the EI principles and trauma informed service delivery.

This is a part time role working 15 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be an integral member of the EIP Team and Psychology structure across the whole service whilst clinically working in the South, working with a varied MDT including an 8b Psychologist and two CBT therapists. The post holder will be a valued member of the psychology provision within the wider Trust. There will be training opportunities as well as increased support via appropriate supervision for the role.

The post holder will lead on psychology referrals, provide specialist EIP individual interventions, and other psychological interventions to suit individual need. The post will also involve developing and offering group therapies, individual and group supervision/reflective practice, contribute to the psychological formulation of risk assessment, and provide consultation within the team. The post holder will participate in local and national audits, and incorporate the use of data and research to support service performance.
