Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and forward thinking Business Transformation Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering improvements across our Operations and Transformation Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to influence organisational change at scale, working at the heart of a newly developing transformation function.
The postholder will provide high level strategic support to the Director of Operations and Transformation, contributing to business planning, risk management, performance oversight and key organisational priorities. Alongside this, the role will support directorate wide transformation activity, redesigning and optimising business processes in collaboration with operational teams and digital colleagues.
This is a dynamic role requiring autonomy, adaptability and strong leadership across multiple programmes of work. The balance between strategic support and hands on transformation delivery will flex in response to organisational needs, offering variety and significant scope for impact.
This is a unique opportunity to help shape a developing transformation function and make a meaningful impact on how we deliver services. You will work alongside supportive senior leaders, have the freedom to innovate, and play a key role in driving modernisation, efficiency and improved outcomes for staff and service users.
Main duties of the job
Lead the design, development and delivery of business transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, quality and consistency across operational and administrative processes.
Provide highlevel strategic support to the Director of Operations and Transformation, including business planning, risk management and performance oversight.
Work collaboratively with digital, operational and corporate teams to identify opportunities for automation, standardisation and process optimisation.
Develop and maintain directoratewide performance frameworks, ensuring accurate reporting, analysis and escalation of key metrics.
Lead endtoend process reviews using recognised improvement methodologies to diagnose issues, map workflows and implement sustainable solutions.
Coordinate and contribute to business cases, project documentation and transformation proposals to support organisational decisionmaking.
Engage and influence senior stakeholders, facilitating change adoption and supporting cultural and behavioural change.
Ensure robust governance and risk management across transformation programmes, including maintaining risk registers and assurance documentation.
Promote continuous improvement, embedding best practice and championing innovation across the directorate.
