Healthcare Assistant - Therapy

Job summary
We have a new and exciting opportunity for a part time Health Care Assistant (Therapy) to work alongside our highly specialised Wheelchair Therapists, Assistant Practitioner, Technicians, Rehabilitation Engineers, and admin team.
The role will be very varied but include joint and independent working in homes and clinic setting, with adults and children with a wide variety of disabilities and medical conditions impacting on their mobility.
Please note the Trust will not routinely provide sponsorship to work for this role. In addition to meet Home Office salary threshold you must have the significant experience to be offered top of the pay band AND work a minimum of 35.5 hours per week. The Trust will not provide sponsorship to work for this role, and employment on a time limited visa doesn't guarantee sponsorship at point of expiry.
Main duties of the job
This role will be very varied but would include:
Working alongside clinicians during patient assessments.
Supporting with hoisting in clinic and home environment.
Liaison with patients, carers, and families under guidance of specialist Clinicians.
Liaison with multi disciplinary teams and professionals involved with patients care.
Liaison with residential and care settings to manage return and recycling of equipment no longer in use.
Set up of basic elements of wheelchair, for example cushion or basic back rest set up, simple adjustments to chair.
Supporting with admin in preparation for clinics.
Use ELMS Patient record system to update patient notes
