EDI Lead

Location: KC2/All Sites with some hybrid working

Are you passionate about embedding equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI)? Do you believe that everyone should feel valued, respected, and able to bring their whole, authentic self to work?

Join us and help shape a culture of true belonging.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Equality, Diversity and Inclusion professional to lead and drive forward our EDI agenda across the Trust. This pivotal role sits at the heart of our ambition to create an environment where people flourish, feel heard, and experience fairness in every interaction.

You will provide both strategic and operational leadership for our EDI function, overseeing the continued development and delivery of our programme of work (including WRES, WDES, MDES). Your leadership will help strengthen our culture, improve equitable outcomes, and transform the lived experiences of those who work with us and those who receive care from us.

This is full time post, but we would consider applicants looking for part time.

Please note the Trust is unable to provide sponsorship to work for this role, to apply you must have current right to work in the UK status. If you are employed on an acceptable time limited visa, there is no guarantee of sponsorship at point of expiry.

Main duties of the job

A key influencer across the organisation, you will shape how inclusion is felt day-to-day, influencing behaviours and conversations. Working closely with leaders, teams, and partners, you will embed inclusive practices into our services so that equity, kindness, and belonging become defining features of how we work.

A central focus of the role will be leading our EDI programme. You will collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to improve health equity for our local communities and strengthen equality outcomes for our workforce. You will provide effective, compassionate, and inclusive leadership of the EDI function, ensuring clear alignment, accountability, and meaningful progress.

You will act as a trusted specialist advisor across the Trust, supporting engagement, tackling health inequalities, strengthening staff networks, and improving access, reach, and involvement with our populations. Your influence will also extend to advance equity and inclusion across the wider region.
