Job summary
We are advertising two full time assistant psychologist posts in Older Adult Mental Health (Band 4) working in the Early Intervention Dementia Service (EIDS) based in Kidderminster and Bromsgrove, and working ina Community Mental Health Team based at Rowan House, Malvern. Both contracts are till end of March 2027. There may be a possibility of extending these for six months further. Both roles will involve travel across the county. You would need to have some experience of working with older adults and facilitating groups. For the role in EIDS there would be opportunities under training and supervision to gain specialist skills in using neuropsychological assessment to support the assessment and diagnosis of people with suspected dementia. In addition, both roles would be involved in summarising and evaluating the evidence base for new service developments as well as undertaking clinical audits. Post 1 is a fixed term post to provide cover for absence for specific purpose that we anticipate will be required until March 2027. We reserve the right to end this contract sooner with appropriate notice.
Post 2 isa fixed term post due to time limited nature of the funding which will end in 12 months. We reserve the right to end this contract sooner with appropriate notice.

Main duties of the job
- Helping facilitate and evaluate support or therapeutic groups
- Preparing materials for groups, booking rooms, sending out group correspondence
- Completing literature reviews
- Preparing materials for complex neuropsychological assessments
- Completing and scoring neuropsychological assessments and developing skills in neuropsychological and biopsychosocial formulation
- Developing skills in working with people with additional cognitive and/or sensory needs
- Using excel to enter and evaluate audit data.
