Job summary

This post is only open to current employees of the Trust.

We currently have a permanent vacancy at Princess of Wales Community Hospital, Bromsgrove working 37.5 hours per week.

This is a full-time post Monday to Friday preferred working hours will be discussed in detail during the interview process as we are flexible where service provision allows.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a busy and varied environment, working alongside our clinical and other non-clinical colleagues to make a positive contribution to our patients and staff experience through the provision of a catering service.

We have supportive and passionate teams, and you will receive full training to ensure you can succeed in this role.

Please note the Trust is unable to provide sponsorship to work for this role, to apply you must have current right to work in the UK status. If you are employed on an acceptable time limited visa, there is no guarantee of sponsorship at point of expiry.

Main duties of the job

We take pride in maintaining NHS catering standards to a star-rated audit process. We will provide you with resources to progress a long-term career as well as flexibility, continual professional development and a wide range of wellbeing and support.

A high profile and visible role, you will lead catering teams to deliver a fully comprehensive quality catering service offering choice to patients, staff and visitors which meets legislative and mandatory requirements, in accordance with schedules and procedures. You must maintain a high standard for all food and beverage preparation including hot, cold and ambient items.

You will work with teams to consistently meet NHS catering standards as well as organise and monitor catering materials, consumables, and equipment to ensure they meet local need and efficiencies, whilst ensuring effective controls on external contracts. You will also actively contribute to projects and lead on delegated ad-hoc duties as required.

In return, you will receive support, training, and guidance to enable you to undertake a range of duties to support your team.
