Job summary
This is a part
time post working 34.5 hours per week.
This post requires working rotational shifts.
We are currently looking to
employ a Band 6 Ward Sister, to support the Ward Manager with clinical and
administrative duties on the Wards at Malvern Community Hospital, which is a 24
bed unit. The role will include day,
nights and weekend working.
The ward has a team of GPs,
ANPs, RNs, HCAs together with supporting staff in Social Services, Facilities
and Housekeeping.

Main duties of the job
Your main
duties will be, to be responsible for the day to day management of the ward, in
the absence of the Ward Manager.
Manage
the admissions and discharge of patients.
Evaluate
and reassess nursing care according to clinical need.
Supervise,
support and encourage staff development.
Facilitate
audit for the ward.
Assist in
managing the ward budget.
Participate
in recruitment for the ward.
Maintain
your own personal and professional development.
Ensure
Trust policies, procedures and guidelines are adhered to.
