Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Adult Eating Disorders Team in Herefordshire. The position is permanent and is 0.4 WTE, 15 hours a week.

We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled, registered dietician who has either an interest and/or experience of working with eating disorders and/or mental health. The successful applicant will work within a well-established multi-disciplinary team offering specialist support for people living with eating disorders.

The service is a small countywide eating disorder outpatient service that provides clinical management and psychological work for patients with eating disorders. The post holder will be based in Hereford but it is essential that applicants can meet the travel requirement for the post. We can offer flexible and hybrid working arrangements. Training opportunities & supervision will be provided.

Main duties of the job

Accountable for designated caseload, working within an evidenced based dietary intervention plan and care programme approach.

Undertakes dietetic assessments.

Assesses and manages nutrition risk effectively.

Works with patients to identify dietetic goals as part of the overall multidisciplinary team plan.

Develops and implements individual and/or group dietetic interventions, in collaboration with the patients and MDT to achieve therapeutic goals.

Engages patients in dietetic related tasks and encourages them in a compassionate manner, to achieve their identified goals.

Monitors and evaluates dietetic treatment in order to measure progress and modifies the dietary intervention plan to ensure effectiveness of clinical interventions.

Provides reports on patients progress at clinical meetings and participates in the clinical decision-making process as part of the multidisciplinary team.

Provides advice, education and training to patients, carers and other healthcare staff involved in patients care.
