Job summary
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Physiotherapy
Assistant, to join the Evesham, Bredon, Broadway and Inkberrow (EBBI) Neighbourhood
Team. This is a part time position offering 21 hours over 3 days
The role involves delivering both planned and urgent Physiotherapy
support to our local adult population. You will be expected to contribute to
high quality patient care, working closely with our Physiotherapists and
Occupational Therapists as well as the wider Community Nursing team. Successful
applicants will be professional and ambitious and willing to develop their
skills to be able to be a responsive practitioner.
We visit patients in their homes and provide new
starters with a structured induction package to build your confidence and
competence. There will be many opportunities to develop your skills and
knowledge.

Main duties of the job
The Physiotherapy core service works
from 08:30 16.30 Monday to Friday and works within the wider Neighbourhood
Team which covers 07:30-18:30 Monday to Sunday including bank holidays.
Together we provide seamless high-quality services to our housebound patients.
While on duty you will either be working alone or alongside
colleagues to support delegated tasks in line with Trust standards and core
values. Under the direction of a Physiotherapist, you will carry out delegated
duties to support the Physiotherapy Service and implement programmes of
intervention, which will include the provision of standard equipment and
treatment programmes.
Wider tasks
may be delegated, these will have been assessed by a qualified Healthcare
professional. Tasks may include personal care, supporting daily activities,
participating in manual handling and other allocated tasks such as setting up
equipment, and recording observations. Clear and timely communication is key to
your role which may be in a verbal, non-verbal or written format to support
patient centred care.
