Healthcare Assistant (Rehabilitation) - Integrated Neurology

Job summary

Are you passionate about exercise? Do you have an interest in health promotion? We are looking for a Rehabilitation Assistant to join our Integrated Neurology Service. Your main role will be to support weekly exercise classes in Bromsgrove and you will run exercise and education sessions with the support of a qualified therapist. You will also support the therapists with other clinical duties as required. Your pattern of work will be 4.5 hours per day, 4 days a week. Please note the Trust will not routinely provide sponsorship to work for this role. In addition to meet Home Office salary threshold you must have the significant experience to be offered top of the pay band AND work a minimum of 35.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

  • Running exercise and education sessions for patients with a neurological condition, to improve their functional ability and promote self-management of their condition.
  • Booking appointments and arranging the classes
  • Completing documentation
  • Completing pre and post class outcome measures
  • Supporting patients to attend community exercise classes or community gyms as a follow-on from attending the classes
