The Housing Adaptations and Specialist Equipment (HASE) Team provides a service for patients with disabilities in their own homes.

We are seeking a third Band 7 Occupational Therapist to provide leadership for the HASE OT Team for Redditch and Bromsgrove. The post will be based within the Community Services Hub at the Princess of Wales Hospital in Bromsgrove

This role will be a 12-month role to cover maternity leave and will be for 18.75 hours with flexibility to work this over 2 or 3 days.

The role will include a clinical caseload and operational leadership for community Occupational Therapy for the 2 council areas.

The successful applicant will work closely with the OT Team Leads for Wyre Forest and Malvern, Worcester and Wychavon, the Community OT Service Clinical Lead and the Neighbourhood Team Leads to provide a high quality consistent Countywide service.

This is a fixed term post to provide cover for absence for specific purpose that we anticipate will be required for 12 months. We reserve the right to end this contract sooner with appropriate notice.

You must have read and understood the terms of the Trusts secondment policy and gained permission from your Line Manager to undertake the secondment before applying.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide clinical and operational leadership for HASE services across Redditch and Bromsgrove.
  • Ensure consistent service standards and equitable access across the county.
  • Act as the key liaison with District Councils and other partner organisations to strengthen collaborative working.
  • Represent the service in multi-agency meetings, ensuring effective communication and joint problem-solving.
  • Contribute to service planning, monitoring, and evaluation to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support the implementation of new policies, procedures, and pathways related to housing adaptations and equipment provision
  • Offer expert clinical guidance and supervision to OT staff.
  • Lead on complex casework.
  • Maintain high standards of practice, safeguarding, and risk management.
  • Provide mentorship, supervision, and professional development opportunities for OT staff.
  • Promote a positive team culture, resilience, and adaptability during service changes.
