Main duties of the job

Deliver high-quality psychiatric assessments, treatment, and interventions within the home treatment team.
Work collaboratively with your doctor colleague and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
Participate in team discussions, treatment planning, and risk assessments.
Engage with patients, carers, and families to provide holistic and person-centred care.
Contribute to service development initiatives and quality improvement within the team
Flexibility in providing cross cover to colleagues
Develop and maintain positive professional relationships.
Challenge poor practice
Demonstrate leadership qualities

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
GMC Licence to practice.
Approval (or eligible for approval) under Section 12 (2) of the Mental Health Act.
Eligible to work in the UK.

Experience

Essential

A minimum of 4 years in the registrar or staff grade and/or specialty doctor grade and/or in the clinical and/or senior clinical medical officer grades, at least 3 of which include working within Psychiatry.
A minimum of 10 years medical work (either a continuous period or in aggregate) since obtaining a primary medical qualification which is (or would at the time have been) acceptable by the GMC for full, limited or temporary (but not provisional) registration. Placement on the overseas list will not by itself count towards the qualifying
period.
Evidence of delivery of high quality mental health services.
Previous experience of working in a clinical leadership role.
Experience of working in a Home Treatment Team.
