Deputy Ward Manager

Job summary

We are looking for a highly motivated, full time Deputy Ward Manager with the possession of a strong clinical knowledge base to support the ward manager. Lickey wards is a 26 bedded rehabilitation ward. We hold some of the traditional values of a Community Hospital with high standards of person-centred care, time to talk to your patient, build relationships and be part of their recovery from admission to discharge.

You will be working closely with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and offering support to families, which is a key role in ensuring the best possible care is given to the patients on this ward. Could this be you?

Main duties of the job

This post requires motivation, enthusiasm, and demonstration of evidence based clinical practice as well as the ability to initiate and sustain new/innovative ways of working. The candidate should be a dynamic and inspiring leader, with proven history of providing supervision to junior staff, be motivated and enthusiastic about your professional development and open to undertaking further academic qualifications. You must be flexible, approachable, compassionate, motivated, hardworking and be able to use your own initiative whilst also having the ability to work under pressure. You must possess organisational and communication skills. You must be able to demonstrate excellent clinical knowledge and skills with the ability to support new and innovative ways of working which facilitate developments in nursing practice as well as being self-motivated and committed to improving service delivery. We expect you to be dedicated with a positive attitude and ability to provide patients an excellent service.
