This is an opportunity to work in the Administration team in the Community Equipment Service in Worcestershire.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team in our busy and well-established service. Worcestershire Community Equipment Service provides essential equipment to people in their homes. This role is imperative to the efficient operation of this service and involves high levels of communication with patients and their families, and the clinical teams who refer into our service. We are committed to providing you with the resources you need to develop and progress a long-term career in the NHS.

This is a fixed term post to provide cover for absence for specific purpose that we anticipate will be required for 12 months. We reserve the right to end this contract sooner with appropriate notice.

Main duties of the job

The role involves a range of administrative tasks as outlined in the job description. Key duties include supporting the referral pathway for prescribed equipment, supporting the procurement of new equipment, engaging positively with service users, carers, members of the public, and professionals, arranging equipment deliveries and collections, managing phone calls and emails efficiently, and signposting individuals to appropriate services for further support when needed.

You will work as part of a dynamic team to maintain accurate records on the Equipment Service IT system (ELMs), update tracking spreadsheets, and order equipment through the procurement system. Collaborative working with the skilled admin and warehouse teams is essential to ensure smooth operation across all areas of the service.

Applicants should have strong interpersonal skills, remain calm under pressure, and be able to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately. Good IT proficiency is essential, along with the ability to support colleagues in complex or challenging situations using a proactive, problem-solving approach. Full training on all systems will be provided.
