Personal Assistant - Elgar Unit, Matron

Job summary

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a personal assistant to support the matron for the Elgar unit. The Elgar unit is a mental health inpatient hospital with 3 adult acute wards, alongside other services.

The role advertised is for 30 hours (4 days per week Monday to Friday days to be agreed) and requires a person with highly developed organising skills, as well as being a creative thinker and someone who can plan and is willing to learn on a daily basis. There is scope for an aspect of hybrid working, which would be agreed with the matron in line with the wider service need.

Main duties of the job

The typical day for this role is varied and changeable depending on what activities are required of the matron. A personal assistants role includes minute taking and organisation of meetings, management of diaries, liaison with service leads both internal and external to the organisation, management of emails and being a first point of contact for the matron.
