This is a part time post, we are advertising this role as 0.6wte but can consider 0.8wte in certain circumstances.
Following the relocation of our
current CPPO we have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as our new
CPPO. We are a mental health and community trust covering Worcestershire and
Herefordshire. This is an exciting opportunity: as Chief Psychological
Professions Officer you will provide professional and clinical leadership
across the Trust for all psychological professions and work in collaboration
with all senior clinical and operational leaders both within the Trust and in the
Herefordshire and Worcestershire system.
You will have substantial
experience in a clinical leadership role and have appropriate therapeutic
expertise and training with a strong grasp of the roles and attributes of a
range of psychological therapies and their contribution to delivery of best practice
across a diverse range of services.
We are looking for a person with
a strong background in working proactively with people using services,
committed to co-producing care pathways.

Main duties of the job
Provide
professional leadership to and set strategic direction for the delivery of
psychologically informed care and services delivered by psychological
professions Trust wide.
Provide
leadership and direction and devolved professional line management for
systematic multilevel psychological services provision, governance and
evaluation through the full range of multidisciplinary teams and other service
structures and arrangements Trust wide.
Ensure
through liaison and advisory functions that psychological services provided
across the Trust are high quality, cost-effective, inclusive, anti-
discriminatory, culturally appropriate, based on best clinical and professional
practice and meet the Trusts quality and operational standards in addition to
national strategic and policy guidelines, commissioner requirements and user
and carer needs and expectations.
Advice
the organisation on the deployment of resources to ensure a workforce suitable
for the delivery of evidence based and NICE compliant psychological and
psychologically informed care. This also includes recruitment, appraisal and
talent management of applied psychologists and other psychological
professionals.
Provide
senior leadership to the Postgraduate Certificate in Low Intensity
Psychological Interventions training course in the role as Programme Director.
