Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced
Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist in this new leadership position. We are seeking someone who has extensive
clinical and leadership experience working in CAMHS as a child and adolescent
psychotherapist to lead a small team of qualified and trainee psychotherapists
and provide clinical leadership to our Under 5s pathway.
The post is 22.5 hrs per week (0.6WTE) over 3 days, based
in Worcester but requires travel across multiple sites in Worcestershire and
Herefordshire.
We are seeking someone who has a passion for supporting
children and families, with experience working directly with children and
families, and working with other teams, professionals and partner agencies to
support the deliver, evaluation and quality assurance of the child and
adolescent psychotherapy service in CAMHS.

Main duties of the job
The successful application would be a senior member of the
multi-disciplinary clinical team and ensure that children and families receive
a high standard of care, and work closely with other senior leads in the
service to support the overall delivery of a quality CAMHS service.

Registration with the Association of Child

- Experience required specific to the role and clinical area
- A minimum of 4 years of experience working as a qualified child and adolescent psychotherapist within the relevant area
- Experience of leading in relation to the development and organisation of Psychotherapy interventions within a given clinical area
- Training and experience in child and adolescent psychotherapy across a wide range of mental health presentations, including high levels of complexity, risk, diversity and significant inequalities
- Experience of supervising others, including other child psychotherapists and individuals in training
- Significant experience of multi-agency/ multidisciplinary working, consultation, training and liaison
- therapeutic expertise in working with carers/families/couples
- Experience of conducting clinically relevant research and service evaluation

- Experience of strategic planning and service development
- Experience of teaching and training child and adolescent psychotherapists on a suitable training course
