Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic consultant clinical
psychologist with excellent leadership experience, to join us in a lead role
for psychological professions/interventions across Herefordshire and
Worcestershire. You will be joining a
team who are welcoming, compassionate, enthusiastic, hardworking and always
looking to improve what we do for those people who use our services.
You will provide professional leadership to psychological
professionals across the Directorate, as well as providing leadership and
oversight for the development and delivery of psychological interventions
across the wider workforce. You will have a key role supporting trauma-informed
care, staff wellbeing, and expanding high-quality, evidence-based psychological
care. You will have the ability to work
strategically with specific understanding of the national drivers for CAMHS and
childrens services and experience representing services at local, regional and
national levels.
This post will cover services across Herefordshire and
Worcestershire with a work base in either Hereford or Worcester. We
are offering a hybrid model combining virtual and in-person working. Although
there will be some travel, we are keen to ensure a good work-life balance.
You will join a thriving clinical community, with
support from senior psychological leaders and the trust lead for psychological
interventions. Opportunities for professional development, innovation and
research are supported.
Main duties of the job
Working closely with senior colleagues, you will provide
clinical and strategic leadership focussed predominately on the delivery of
psychological interventions and psychologically informed care to children,
young people and their families. You
will be part of an established senior directorate team and actively involved in
strategic meetings and discussion as we grow and develop our services. Your leadership role will have a focus on
quality of care and workforce development. You will take a lead in relation to
training, audit and evaluation as well as developments in clinical practice. Embracing the principles of being a CAMHS
CYP-IAPT service, the ability to lead workforce developments in psychological
therapies is important alongside a passion to proactively engage children and
young people and their parents/carers in co-production and participation.
Professionally, you will lead a committed, thriving
community of colleagues, providing leadership, supervision, consultation and
advice. You will lead (where
appropriate) on the recruitment of psychological staff at an exciting time when
we are developing and growing our psychological professions workforce. You will also provide expert guidance to
services within the wider Directorate who may not employ psychological
professionals, but where psychologically-informed practice is implemented (e.g.
sexual health, school health nursing etc.)
This is a full time post but we will consider part time hours.
