Job summary

Administrator required to work 32 hours per week to support our Specialist Nursing Team for Children in Care. Working pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate but hours will need to be worked between 8am and 5pm, across Monday to Friday, over four or five days a week.

The post is permanently based at Elbury Moor Medical Centre in Worcester. Free staff parking is available on site. Following induction and training, occasional home working will be available.

Main duties of the job

Day to day work will include managing a generic mailbox, processing statutory and health notifications, data inputting, collating information, updating patient records on Rio, liaising with local authorities and other health trusts, and other tasks as set out in the job description.

You will also provide secretarial support to the Named Nurse for Children in Care and supervise and support the team administration assistant. Note taking at team meetings is also required.

Applicants will be expected to have good interpersonal and IT skills and be willing to learn and develop within the team.

The role is busy and varied and requires the post holder to have a flexible approach and a calm, professional manner. The ability to work accurately whilst multi-tasking is essential. A can-do attitude and excellent customer service skills are a must.
