Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced Oral Health professional to join a newly expanding Oral Health Improvement Team in Herefordshire and Worcestershire as a Band 6 Oral Health Improvement Lead.
This is a pivotal role responsible for the development, coordination, and delivery of oral health programmes designed to improve outcomes across diverse communities. The successful candidate will provide leadership and management to a dedicated team and work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to promote oral health and reduce inequalities.
Due to the rural nature of the areas covered and the outreach required, the post holder must be able to meet the travel requirements of the role.

This is a part time role for 30 hours per week.

Main duties of the job
Lead and manage the Oral Health Improvement Team across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
Develop strategic oral health promotion plans with the Clinical Director and Public Health Consultant.
Ensure delivery of KPIs and commissioning outcomes.
Provide data reporting, audit, and evaluation for service planning and improvement.
Plan and deliver campaigns, education sessions, and resources aligned with local/national priorities.
Liaise with schools, care homes, early years settings, and health professionals to support collaborative initiatives. Oversee programme budgets and resources.
Ensure compliance with Trust policies, GDC standards, and NICE guidance.
Deliver oral health training to professionals, volunteers, and the public.
Provide supervision, appraisal, and support for staff development.
Act as the lead contact for commissioners and stakeholders.
Represent the Trust in local/regional dental public health networks.
