Job summary

Are you dynamic, motivated and have a passion for working with children who have a learning disability and who strives for person centred care? Come and join our team delivering an excellent level of care in a rewarding environment to children with learning disabilities.

We provide replacement care and short stays for children from the age of 2 to 18 years across 2 bungalows, with up to 7 children staying at any one time. You will be working as part of a wider team supporting children to live their best lives in a safe, fun, and fulfilling environment.

We provide care to service users who have complex health needs or a need for nursing interventions (such as PEGs, Diabetes and Epilepsy). We also support service users who have behaviours that may be challenging.

We are a 7-day service, and you will be working a range of shifts including evenings, weekends, nights, and bank holidays. We can be flexible to make sure this works for you. This is a full time post.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will predominantly be based in the Childrens service but will also be required to at times work in the Adults service and at times may be the sole nurse on site for both services. They would support the manager to lead the team in delivering a clinically effective service with the overarching aim that the individuals who attend the service feel, welcome, safe, confident and a positive experience for all concerned. keen to stay, thus providing a positive experience for all concerned.

Both services are registered with CQC, and the childrens service is registered with Ofsted. The post holder will be required to support the manager to ensure the service meets the requirements for CQC.
