It is an exciting time to join the Crisis Resolution Team as we embark on a new and innovative way of delivering crisis care in Worcestershire.
Join our team if you are looking for a new and exciting challenge working in urgent care mental health services! We are looking for a passionate, ambitious and motivated individual to join our Crisis Resolution Team in a newly developed Nursing Associate post. We are a dynamic and responsive team who strive to continuously develop and adapt to the needs of individuals, their families and carers in Worcestershire providing compassionate and trauma-informed care when they are at their most vulnerable. We promote a positive culture of improvement and development in all that we do, something we feel is vital when working in an ever-changing area of mental health care.
This role has been developed in response to the evolved service and needs of the individuals we support. They will be integral to the delivery of the service, conducting a variety of work. There is scope for further development of the role in the future making it an exciting opportunity.
Full-time, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
We would be happy to have an informal chat or visit to the unit to have a look around and meet the team.
Main duties of the job
Working for the Crisis Resolution Team means that no two days are the same. The service we provide is critical to those in a mental health crisis and helps enable specialist support from the onset. We promote a proactive and preventative approach when needed to ensure people are getting the right support from the right service.
Working in the Team will bring you variation each shift and provide regular opportunities for internal and external training and development and we support and encourage career progression. We are flexible and supportive as a team and supervision and reflective practice are prioritised to ensure the wellbeing of staff is at the centre.
You will provide support to band 3 crisis support workers answering calls, by giving advice and signposting as well as clinical triage.
You will provide both telephone and face-to-face care and support to people in a mental health crisis.
You will support the crisis clinicians in assessments and lead on bespoke crisis interventions when required including the development of individual crisis management plans.
You will support the management of complex cases and frequent flyers.
You will provide acute care to those detained under section 136.
Support the delivery of both the professional referral phoneline and the urgent mental health helpline through providing clinical advice to callers and other team members and developing appropriate care plans with support or the clinicians.
