care wrapped around psychological interventions? The Worcestershire Complex
Needs Service (CNS) is excited to recruit an enthusiastic Clinical/Counselling
Psychologist (1.0WTE) who will be part of a multi-disciplinary team working
with those with emotional and relational struggles.
CNS adopts
a Structured Clinical Management framework and within this framework offers
Dialectic Behavioural Therapy and Mentalization-Based Therapy. This is an
opportunity to be part of advances in evidence-based treatment for those with
complex personality difficulties. The successful applicant will be valued for
their ability to think dynamically and will be supported with regular clinical
supervision and weekly reflective practice.
We are concurrently advertising for band 7 and band 8a and

Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be a senior clinician within CNS and an important part of the patients journey. They will be assessing patients to co-produce an initial psychological formulation. This will help inform the delivery of psychological interventions that they will deliver directly (individually/groups) and/or support team members in doing so through regular supervision.
There will be opportunities to be part of the development of assistant psychologists in the team alongside providing guidance for the analysis of clinical data to help with the teams continued development of its treatment pathways.
The successful applicant will also be expected to undertake evidence-based specialist treatments (such as DBT and MBT) and this would be funded. The post holder will work (up to 1.0 WTE) hours between Monday to Friday, during office hours excluding bank holidays, and will work from community bases.

- Post qualification training in specific, evidence based techniques for use with clients with complex psychological presentations and/or physical health difficulties, across the age span
- Evidence of regular further professional training and experience as required by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the BPS
- Eligible for registration as a Chartered Psychologist (Clinical or Counselling) by the BPS
- Eligible for registration as a Practitioner member of the BPS Division of Clinical/Counselling Psychology
- Registered with HCPC as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist
