Job summary

Are you an excellent communicator with a passion for healthcare? Were seeking an enthusiastic administrator to be part of our Neighbourhood Mental Health Team in Worcester

This role is 30hrs a week between Mon-Fri 09:00-17:00. We can support flexible working requests

In this vital role youll use your knowledge & expertise to provide admin support to our hard-working NHS teams. No NHS experience is required, but a passion for excellent patient care is a must

You will be a strong communicator supporting a wide range of people including patients & health care professionals. You will need to be responsive & adaptable to the needs of the service but you can be sure that your hard work will be making a difference to patients

This role requires you to have current right to work in the UK which enables you to undertake the role without need of sponsorship. Given the current UK immigration regulations this role is not eligible for sponsorship and therefore it is not possible for the Trust to sponsor applicants.

Main duties of the job

Typical Administration duties may involve

  • Maintaining patient records effectively & accurately
  • General office duties e.g. Typing, filing, scanning, photocopying, printing
  • Scheduling appointments/meetings
  • Handling correspondence incoming/outgoing mail
  • Handling queries over the phone and in person from staff, patients and external agencies
  • Monitoring shared email inbox
  • Assisting the team with various administrative tasks e.g. reception cover

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to vocational level 2 in Business Administration or Good general education with a minimum of 2 GCSEs (to include English Language) at grade 9-4 (*A-C) or NHS administrative experience and will be expected to undertake the relevant level 2 vocational qualification on appointment to post.
  • I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.

Experience

Desirable

  • Recent, relevant experience in an Administrative/Secretarial/ Reception Role.

Knowledge

Essential

  • Understanding of clerical/office procedures and administrative systems
  • Data inputting procedures
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Understanding of the Data Protection Act and NHS Code of Confidentiality
