Community Support Worker - Early Intervention in Psychosis

Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 3 Support Worker (30 hours per week) within the Early Intervention for Psychosis Team. The service addresses the needs of people aged 14-65 who have recently experienced a first episode of psychosis or aged 14-35 who may be at risk of developing psychosis.
As part of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide person-centred support to service users using a recovery-informed approach. You will work to promote independence, connect service users with the community, and increase wellbeing. You will play a key role in empowering individuals to achieve personal goals and foster recovery.
The role is based in Worcester, however, involves community working and covers the whole of the county. Therefore, you must be able to meet the travel requirements of the job.

Main duties of the job
The duties of the support worker are varied, and based on the recovery goals of the people you are supporting. Some of the main duties may include:
- Organising and running physical health clinics
- One-to-one work supporting people to engage in their local community
- Anxiety management, behavioural activation, and graded exposure work
- Supporting or leading groups promoting recovery
- Providing input into MDT discussions
- Linking in with other Trust and community services
- Supporting the wider team with ad hoc tasks
