Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Static Band 5
Physiotherapist to work in a split role at Evesham Community hospital and the
Princess of Wales hospital. The successful applicant will be at the forefront of expert clinical practice and the
transformation of services in a beautiful riverside town, in the local
community hospitals, nestled in the Vale of Evesham and in Bromsgrove.
This is a
full time, one year static position in the field of musculoskeletal practice,
which will serve as an ideal foundation for anyone wanting to progress their
skills in this area. Support will be
provided within the local team, which includes Advanced Practitioners, Clinical
Leader and a First Contact Practitioner. Support will also be accessible from
other band 5s already based within the trust. A key role will involve lending
support to our well-developed Practice Based learning for the students from the
University of Worcester.
You can
expect personal and professional development on a daily ad hoc basis and
through a formal 5 weekly in-service training and clinical supervision
programme. The Trust provides a structure offering career mobility, coaching
and/or mentoring.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve patient assessment and
delivery of physiotherapy interventions to the adult population of
Worcestershire within a busy OP department based in the local community
hospital.
You will be required to assess, treat and
manage a very varied caseload of patients as we receive referrals from GPs, the
acute sector of Worcestershire and Gloucestershire and self-referrals. This will include patients with acute
conditions such as fractures and post-surgery, alongside more longstanding MSK
conditions such as LBP, OA and tendinopathies.
We would expect you to contribute to high quality,
patient-centred care using evidence-based knowledge and skill. There will also
be an opportunity to assist with service development and to teach and supervise
other clinicians and students and help to shape the future service delivery and
workforce.
