Job summary

Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust (HRCH) provide a wide range of healthcare services for the population of London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and the London Borough of Hounslow.

We are looking an experienced Team Leader to join our Musculoskeletal (MSK) Administration Team, providing high quality Administration Services for our Physiotherapy Services across Hounslow and Richmond areas.

Responsible for motivating a team of 16 Administrators, working to deliver a range of services including administration, phone and reception duties to ensure referrals are processed accurately in line with Government targets and Key Performance Indictors.

The Team is divided across 3 different sites O'Block Therapy Centre Hounslow, Teddington Memorial Hospital and Teddington Health Social Care, providing services both in person and by telephone.

With the support of the Business Manager and Service Lead, you will foster a great team dynamic, focused on achieving the highest standards possible for our patients.

The service operational hours are Monday to Friday from 7.30 am to 6.00 pm depending on site, and our phone lines are open from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.

Main duties of the job

  • Lead and resource the MSK Administration Team, with the guidance and support of the Business Manager and Service Lead.
  • Effectively manage your staff and foster a positive and dynamic team culture.
  • Deliver a high performing service, enabling your team to harness their full potential and achieve service excellence.
  • Act as an escalation point for any admin enquiries and issues,
  • Look at opportunities to modernise systems and ways of working.
  • Responsible for induction and training of new starters and monitoring Staff performance on a daily basis.
  • The post holder will have strong leadership skills and excellent organisational skills to run the service smoothly and to plan ahead to ensure service delivery across all sites.
  • Flexible, understanding and able to coach Staff in order to support performance to a high standard.
  • Work collaboratively with other key teams within the Trust.
  • Support and help manage to maintain the digitalisation of health services, this will be achieved through improving the use of digital tools and adopting mobile and agile working practices, increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical delivery.

  • A levels/NVq3 or equivalent experience, in addition to CCSE or equilaten qualifications in English and Maths
  • Understanding of data protection and confidentiality
  • Knowledge of principles of good customer care

Desirable

  • Formal IT or business administration quallification, e.g. BTEC or NVQ
  • ECDL qualification
