Job summary
Isle of Wight NHS Trust is seeking experienced and motivated pharmacists to join its clinical pharmaceutical services team. Successful candidates will provide expert advice on medicines management, support safe and effective prescribing, and contribute to multidisciplinary teams to optimize therapeutic outcomes. The position offers opportunities for professional development, involvement in clinical audits, and participation in service improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and experience.
Main duties of the job
- Act as a pharmacist providing a clinical pharmaceutical service involving specialist/complex/high risk secondary care patients.
- Utilise pharmaceutical expertise, working in partnership with patients, carers and healthcare professionals to minimise medicines-related harm and facilitating medicines optimisation.
- Contribute to the wider pharmacy service in both a clinical and day to day leadership role.
- Be prepared to operate across a range of hours including evening and/or 7 day working, as agreed between post-holders and their line manager.
- Operate in accordance with the Trusts values, mission and written control documents.
