The Trauma and Orthopaedic Department based at St Mary's Hospital is looking to recruit a Specialist Doctor. We are looking for a highly motivated doctor to initially join the middle grade on-call rota for Trauma.

The Orthopaedic Department provides an integrated Orthopaedic and Trauma service and has facilities which include elective and trauma wards for in-patient care, a day-case unit, two Trauma & Orthopaedic theatres, designated Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, x-ray and an out-patient suite.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work alongside the consultants in the department and will be expected to carry out a wide range of elective and trauma surgery. you will undertake theatre lists and clinics and should be experienced enough to be able to undertake these independently.
You will participate in a non-resident 1:7 on call commitment, which is essential in the support of our Resident Doctors.
The department is actively involved in audit and research and there are opportunities for the post holder to be involved in both.
