The Trust's Procurement & Supply department needs an enthusiastic team player to join our Supply Chain Team, to provide essential services to wards and departments, through the Queen Alexandra and St Mary's Hospital.
Some knowledge of supply chain management and use of hand held bar code readers would be useful, however not essential along with the use of Procurement and Inventory systems, however full training will be provided.
You should have experience of working in a customer services environment and be prepared to undertake light lifting.
Keyboard skills are essential.
You will have a flexible approach to work and the ability to communicate well with customers and colleagues. You will be able to prioritise your workload whilst understanding that you have to meet deadlines.
Whilst the Procurement Team is based at Lakeside North Harbour, our Supply Chain Teams are based at the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth as well as St Mary's Hospital on the Isle of Wight.
Main duties of the job
To Assist with the Provision of supply chain service to wards and departments, replenishing stock to agreed levels, checking and putting away goods on receipt.
To represent the department and deal with customer Queries and complaints in a professional and positive way.
