The successful candidate will be required to work onsite at St Mary's Hospital on the Isle of Wight and candidates are encouraged to visit the department to have an informal introduction to the team.
The Research Coordinator will work closely with the Research Facilitator and multidisciplinary research teams to ensure the set up and delivery of research projects to relevant performance metrics and overall strategy of the Trust and NIHR.
**The role could also be offered as a band 4 development role with the ability to progress to band 5 after 12 months in post subject to criteria being met. If you are applying under these circumstances, please make this clear in your application. **
Main duties of the job
The Research Coordinator is a key role within the Research Office providing essential administrative support to commercial and non-commercial clinical trials and research projects within the Trust. The Research Coordinator will work closely with research delivery teams to ensure the efficient set up of research projects and ongoing study management (monitoring, amendments, and archiving) in compliance with UK Policy for Framework for Health and Social Care Research, ICH Good Clinical Practice (ICH GCP) guidelines, and other appropriate local standard operating procedures. The department has an active social media and internet presence and this role will play a key part in managing this.
