Job summary

Location:Across both sites, both Isle of Wight NHS Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust (frequency of visits to each site, to be agree locally). This role is based in Corporate Hub at the Lakeside site.Position Type:Full-time, 37.5 hours per weekSalary: Band 4 - £26,530 - £29,114

Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust has a Digital department in excess of 130 staff across the Isle of Wight and Portsmouth Hospitals.

The department provides support to more than 8500 end users and a wide range of IT Hardware using many different technologies. This is an opportunity to join a large organisation which will provide exposure to over 200 different applications.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced member of staff to join our small but very busy team.Please note this position has also been advertised on the Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust's jobs page. if you are interested in this position and wish to apply, there is no requirement for you to submit two separate applications.

Main duties of the job

  1. IT Procurement - ordering, receiving and processing new IT equipment. Establishing relationships with a wide range of suppliers.
  2. IT Installations - preparing, planning and installing end user IT devices.
  3. IT Back up tapes changes in various Computer rooms.

There may also be the requirement to provide back up cover for the IT Service Desk in logging and dealing with incidents.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years IT Service desk experience along with experience of Windows, 11/10, Office 365, and Azure Active Directory. Previous hardware build and installation or IT Procurement experience would be an advantage.

For leaders managing staff across multi-site locations, you will need to be visible and provide in person leadership. The arrangements and frequency will be agreed locally.
