The acute division has an opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Service Manager .
If you thrive on a challenge and have demonstrable experience in previous operational management roles and are passionate to drive performance to reform elective care for patients, we welcome your application.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has the leadership experience to engage, encourage and support the existing team to drive pathway innovations and high-quality patient care relating to:
- Cancer waiting time standards
- Referral to treatment
- Improving health inequalities, patient experience and outcomes
- Timely access to diagnostic testing
- Improving productivity using digital enablers and data
Main duties of the job
The post holder will:
- Work collaboratively with clinical leads and a wide range of colleagues from all disciplines to ensure that services are efficiently and effectively run within the division, this will be achieved through excellent human resource knowledge, financial and performance delivery.
- Leadership of change management to achieve improvement in process and patient outcomes.
- Responsible for business planning and monitoring demand for services and ensuring that the trust achieves its key performance objectives.
- The post holder will also ensure that patients are managed in line with Trust policies and national standards for booking.
- Take a proactive approach for the oversight and prevention of cancer breaches,
- Identify capacity and pathway issues and consistently develop plans to improve performance working alongside relevant managers and clinical teams.
- Continue to deliver GIRFT/HIOW aligned pathway developments
