The job plan will be based on the provisional timetables shown below. The job plan is a prospective agreement that sets out the clinicians duties, responsibilities and objectives for the coming year. It covers all aspects of the clinicians professional practice including clinical work, teaching, research, education and managerial responsibilities. It will provide a clear schedule of commitments, both internal and external. In addition, it will include personal objectives including details of their link to wider service objectives and details of the support required by the clinician to fulfil the job plan and the objectives.

- Membership with the relevant Royal College for this speciality.
- Full GMC registration and licence to practice.

- Experience requisite to meeting all aspects of the job plan, with supervision.
- Minimum 12 years post qualification experience with 6 years full-time or equivalent part-time working in gastroenterology at an SAS grade.
- Evidence of continuing medical education in the field
- Evidence of inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology
- Knowledge of current trends in speciality.
